Ponthir – Friday 5 November
Ponthir Sports and Community Club are holding a firework display on the 5th November. The show starts at 7pm with the evening starting 6pm.
No road closures are planned, however there will be more traffic in the area than usual.
Cwmbran - Saturday 6 November
A display will be held on Saturday 6 November at Cwmbran Stadium. The show starts at 7pm with gates opening at 5.30pm.
No road closures are planned, however visitors are encouraged to walk or use public transport to travel to the stadium as parking is limited.
Pontypool – Saturday 6 November
The Horse & Jockey in Pontypool are holding a family fun night which includes a firework display between 7pm-9pm. As parking is limited they are offering shuttle buses between Cwmbran and Pontypool.
No road closures are planned, however due to the location of the event traffic may be heavier than normal, and there is potential for road disruptions.
Blaenavon – Sunday 7 November
The Blaenavon Blues are having a firework display on Sunday 7 November and a road closure will be in place.
The road closure will take place along a section of the B4248 Garn Road, from its junction with Abergavenny Road (opposite Petrol Station) to its junction with Estate Road from 5pm to approximately 8pm on Sunday 7th November.
A diversion route is available via the Estate Road, North Street, Abergavenny Road and vice versa.
No vehicular access will be allowed other than for emergency services, those directly affected residents requiring access and this will only be upon request of a steward on site.
The diversion is in place for the safety of those attending the event and all other highway users.
Visitors are strongly encouraged to walk to the event rather than drive. Some parking is available at the Riflemans car park. The club have ask that if you intend parking in surrounding streets, please respect local residents, park appropriately, safely, and don’t obstruct roads, junctions or driveways.
