Changes to services over the Bank Holiday

A number of services provided by Torfaen will be affected by the Easter Holidays.

Refuse and Recycling collections will take place as normal until the week starting Monday, April 9. These collections will start on Tuesday 10th, so will all take place a day later than usual. Friday, April 13 collection will be collected on Saturday, April 14.

The Civic Amenity bays at the Household Waste Recycling Centre, New Inn will be open throughout the holiday period for the disposal of household waste. They will be open from 7.30am until 6pm Monday to Saturday and between 9am and 6pm on Sunday.

Residents are advised to use the recycling facilities available throughout the borough.

The Civic Centre and County Hall will be closed on Good Friday but will reopen at 8.30am on Tuesday, April 10. Although cash payments cannot be taken on the days that the offices are closed, the automated telephone payments service and the Pay Online facility are available at all times. Payments can be made by Debit or Credit Card by calling 08458 500855.

Cwmbran, Pontypool and Blaenavon Customer Care Centres all close on Good Friday but will be open by 9.30am on Tuesday, April 10.

All Libraries will be closed on Friday, April 6 and will re-open on Tuesday, April 10.

Pontypool Indoor Market will be closed on Monday, April 9 and Tuesday, April 10.

Leisure facilities are available throughout the holidays every day except Bank Holiday Monday. Call your local leisure centre for more information.
