Skiing

Pontypool Ski Centre boasts a 230 metre main slope, a novice/beginners area, a Poma ski lift, sprinkler system and mogul run. In addition to open skiing times, the Ski Centre runs its own Ski School which offers instruction for all standards of skiing and snowboarding from ‘novice to expert’. The Ski Centre is open to everyone regardless of skiing ability, however complete beginners must have at least 3 lessons before they can attend open practice.

Catering and bar facilities are available at the nearby leisure centre where a wide range of hot and cold meals, snacks and refreshments are available.

The centre operates during the Winter season from the beginning of October up to the 1st April. It is closed to the general public for the summer season except to members of the Torfaen Ski Club which continues to use the facilities on Wednesday evenings between 7pm & 9pm. The club session is for members only though anyone can join and membership can be paid annually or per session.

For information regarding membership of the Ski Club visit the Torfaen Ski Club| website.
