Torfaen County Borough Council operates its Community Play Provisions on an open access basis. Open Access Play Opportunities empower children and young people to engage in a wide variety of play activities in a safe staffed environment.

The purpose of the provision is to provide staffed play opportunities for children in the absence of their parents. Children have the freedom of choice as to what range of play activity they wish to undertake and with whom they play. If a child does not wish to stay at a provision we will contact the parents/carers to collect them.

With the above in mind, please note this is not a childcare provision.

Please note that children under the age of 8 may not leave the provision at any time and must be collected and dropped at provision by a responsible adult. Please remind your child/children of the issue of road safety when travelling to and from Playscheme.

If your child requires support to attend the Playscheme please ring 01495 742952

Parents/guardians, we ask that you inform child(ren) about staying on site and provide the site staff with accurate contact details when completing registration forms (home numbers, mobile numbers and who will be collecting your child from Playscheme).

Please note that any personal items brought onto our play provisions are the sole responsibility of the owner, and, as such, the Play Service cannot be held accountable for any subsequent theft or damage that may occur. All children/young people are expected to bring lunch or equivalent on full site days.
