Torfaen County Borough Council are responsible for the management of four cemeteries within the area, these are located at Blaenavon, Pontypool and Cwmbran.
Blaenavon Cemetery located on Varteg Road opened for its first burial on 2nd August 1915 and has an area of approximately 10.6 acres.
Panteg Cemetery located on The Highway, New Inn, Pontypool opened for its first burial on 23 July 1906 and has an area of approximately 21 acres.
Cwmbran Cemetery located on Llantarnam Road opened for its first burial on 5 October 1892 and has an area of approximately 4 acres. This cemetery is now classed as a closed cemetery as it does not accept new interns.
Llwyncelyn Cemetery located in Hollybush, Cwmbran opened on 26 September 2011 and has an area of approximately 20 acres which includes natural woodland and meadow fields. Llwyncelyn cemetery provides the following burial choice:

Cemetery gates will be opened and closed at the following times:
1st April to 31st October - 9.00am - 8.00pm
1st November to 31st March - 9.00am - 5.30pm
Torfaen’s Cemeteries Service hold historic records relating to all burials in each cemetery. Grave searches can be carried out by contacting the Cemeteries Registrar.
Cemetery Fees
Cemetery fees are applicable to all four cemeteries and are subject to annual review.
