Benefits Advice - Social Care Services

Description

Free benefits advice is available for people who use social care services, their families and their carers.

A team of benefits advisors helps people claim their full entitlement to benefits, thus maximising their weekly income. An advisor will undertake a comprehensive and confidential assessment of an individual service user’s benefit entitlement and will support them throughout the application process, including help with filling out application forms.

The benefits advisor will follow up to make sure that they are receiving the correct benefits and the right amount.

A benefits advisor will visit you at home or at the location of your choice.

The benefits advice service will also support service users to challenge decisions which are believed to be incorrect through the review and appeal stages.

More information about benefits for people with disabilities and their carers is available at www.direct.gov.uk|

Alternatively, contact Benefit Enquiry Line on 0800 882200 or 0800 243355 (text phone).
