Description

Do you know someone who may be claiming benefits fraudulently?

 

Torfaen has a team of specialist, professional investigators who deal with cases of benefit fraud.

 

The Fraud Investigations Team carry out investigations to criminal standards and work in partnership with the Department of Work and Pensions where necessary. The Team aims to discourage fraud and ensure that it is as difficult as possible to commit and actively pursue prosecutions in appropriate cases.

Who is the service for?

Any person who suspects that someone may be claiming benefits fraudulently.

How do I access the Service?

This page allows you to refer a case of suspected fraud to the Fraud Investigations Team direct.  

 

Before you do, consider the following carefully:

  • Could the person you suspect be acting quite legitimately?
  • Do you genuinely believe someone is committing a fraud or is corrupt?

If you do, then please give as much information as possible. Any information that you provide is treated in the strictest confidence, you do not have to provide your personal details.

 

Should you choose to leave your personal details, then this information will also be treated in the strictest confidence. We may contact you to ask for further information or to clarify any points.
