Walkers and cyclists can enjoy tow-paths along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, which winds its way through Pontypool and Cwmbran. Llandegfedd Reservoir provides the opportunity for sailing, windsurfing, bird-watching and fishing. Whilst the more adventurous can experience the thrills of go-kart racing, or skiing on the dry ski slope at Pontypool.
