Description
The Asset Management Section is responsible for Asset Management Planning of Torfaen County Borough Council’s land and property estate.
This is a strategic role which seeks to ensure that the Council has the right property in the right place at the right time, and that best value is obtained from the authority's property assets.
Internal departments and the Asset Management Section work together to develop a property strategy aimed at optimising the utilisation of the Councils property assets and ensuring departments are located in the right area and building serve their clients. Departments considering acquisition or disposal of property should in the first instance contact the Asset Management Section.
The Asset Management Section should also be consulted prior to any proposed change of use of existing premises.
