Description
Gwent Archives exists to collect and preserve archival records of Gwent, and to make them available to the public. It provides the statutory archive service to 5 local authorities. It holds about 6 km of records dating from the medieval period to the present day covering all aspects of life in the Gwent area. It is an ideal place for researching the history of your family, house or community.
Staff are available to offer the public expert advice on use of the Collection.

How do I access the Service?
If you wish to visit Gwent Archives to undertake research, it is advisable to make an appointment prior to your visit.
