Description
Torfaen County Borough Council is responsible for the enforcement of the Animal Health Act 1981 and associated legislation.
The Animal Health & Welfare team deal with all issues in respect of the welfare of livestock including the welfare of animals on farms, during transportation and at animal gatherings. They also deal with the welfare of animals at slaughter and the control of disease through contingency planning.
Who is the service for?
The service is specifically aimed at farmers, however it is also available to members of the public who may wish to report issues regarding the welfare of animals.
