Description
If you have concerns that a child is suffering or is likely to suffer significant harm to his or her development, it is vital that you report them to us.
Private enquiries will be made before any action is taken. It may be that other explanations for your worries will be found and if that is the case you will still have helped the child or young person. Where there are concerns about significant harm to a child, we have a statutory duty to make enquiries, and if necessary, statutory powers to intervene to safeguard the child and promote his or her welfare.
Who is the service for?
The service is provided for any child in Torfaen who is in need of protection.
