Christmas Cavalcade
Pontypool's Christmas Cavalcade is on Saturday 25 November. You can visit Santa's Grotto at the indoor market from 11am - 1pm then again from 2 - 4pm. There will be entertainers in the market throughout the day including face painters, Pontypool Brass Band and children's entertainer, Jenny-Any-Dots.
Franco the clown, and street entertainer Risky whose performance includes unicycling, juggling, balloon modelling, whip cracking and fire breathing will perform in George Street and Crane Street.
Father Christmas's parade will leave the community council offices at 4.30pm led by the Camelia Brass Band, Alison Lee Academy School of Dance, and the New Inn Royals Jazz Band.
BBC Radio Wales presenter, Roy Noble will switch on the Christmas lights at 5pm at the Link and be followed by an explosive firework display.
Santa's Grotto will be open on Saturday, 2, 9, 16 and 23 December from 10am - 1pm, and 2 - 4pm.
