Are you a dad, primary male carer or non resident father?

If the answer is ‘yes’, then Torfaen Dads’ Group wants to hear from you.

The group provides fathers with the opportunity to socialise and share experiences in a friendly relaxed environment. They meet every Thursday from 10.30am – 12.30pm at the Integrated Children’s Centre within Hollybush School’s grounds. A free crèche for pre-school age children is available. Fathers can drop in for tea, coffee and a sandwich, or enjoy activities and day trips. Fathers can receive unbiased advice from guest speakers on a range of subjects including the importance of play, men’s health, fathers’ rights, healthy eating for kids, basic first aid and parenting techniques.

It is run by members of The Fatherhood Wales Forum (a steering group which understands the lack of support and provisions for fathers, especially those who are the primary or sole carers).

Call Nick Chaney, Family Support Officer, on 01633 838758 ext 303.
