Go for Gold this summer! Join the Team Read Challenge!
Children are invited to take part in the Team Read Summer Reading Challenge| at their local library during the school holidays. This year’s reading challenge celebrates the Olympics with a sporting theme.
Go to your local library to collect your special ‘moving image’ membership card and fold-out stadium poster. You will then be able to read your way through bronze and silver levels, collecting stickers and other goodies as you go. After reading at least six books you will become a Team Read champion and will be awarded a super gold medal and certificate!
That’s not all - you will also go into a special prize draw, with a bicycle and a place at the Cwmbran Stadium AYP October half term camp with the chance to try Climbing, Kayaking, Athletics, Football and Dance among the prizes on offer!
Under fours will have their very own version of Team Read and will be able to gain a special Team Read Bookcrawl certificate by borrowing books and collecting stickers.
There will be activities in all Torfaen libraries to support Team Read – ask at your local library for details!
