An opportunity has arisen to work within the Education Service to deliver Language and Play, Number and Play and Social Emotional programmes in the Flying Start areas of Torfaen. Delivery will be in the home and in group settings.
The Language and Play programme has been established by Basic Skills Cymru to encourage parents/carers to talk, play, read and sing to their babies and young children. The Language and Play co-ordinator is responsible for the organisation, co-ordination and delivery of the Language and Play programme.
Key Duties will include to assist the Language and Play Co-ordinator in delivering the Language and Play, Number and Play and Social and Emotional programmes on a one to one basis in the home and in groups. The successful applicant will also need to record, monitor and evaluate the programmes, using appropriate IT packages.
You will need to be a good communicator, be able to work effectively as a team member, whilst having the ability to work under minimum supervision.
