Remploy Limited - Workstep Project

At Remploy we work with people with health conditions and learning difficulties to help them into employment.

 

We run soft skills training to help work on areas such as confidence, hurdles into employment, interview skills and self belief. We run job actions groups/one to one for candidates to help with job searching and application. We also help with travel and interview costs, clothing for interviews and back to work grants once they start employment.

 

Candidates work with a development plan to help them back into employment. Once a candidate is in employment we provide support to them for up to 2 years to make sure they sustain the position.

 

Entry Criteria

 

There are two areas of criteria candidates must meet.

 

Disability Codes

  • Code 1: Conditions restricting mobility/dexterity (eg affecting back, joints or limbs)
  • Code 2: Visual impairment
  • Code 3: Hearing and/or speech impairment
  • Code 4: Long-term medical conditions (eg respiratory, heart, asthma, diabetes)
  • Code 5: Learning disability
  • Code 6: Mental health
  • Code 7: Neurological conditions (eg epilepsy, MS)
  • Code 8: Other health conditions not covered above (please specify)

Benefit Eligibility

  • Code A: Customer in receipt of Incapacity Benefit (IB) and/or NI credits only (including Severe Disablement Allowance or Income Support)
  • Code B: Customer is in receipt of JSA and/or NI credits only for 6 months or more in a current or "linked" jobseeking period
  • Code C: Customer is in receipt of JSA and/or NI credits only for less than 6 months but have been in receipt of Incapacity Benefit immediately before claiming JSA
  • Code D: Customer is a former Supported Employee who has progressed but needs to return to the programme within 2 years or has left for any other reason and returns within 1 year
  • Code F: Customer is a recent/prospective education leaver who does not fall within Codes A- E but for whom there is clear evidence of a need for support in work
  • Code G: Customer has been granted access to WORKSTEP through a discretionary decision, where a full business case has been sent to your WORKSTEP Contract Manager and approval has been granted. In such cases a copy of the full business case and approval MUST be attached to this form.
