Genesis Cymru Wales 2 Project
The Genesis Cymru Wales 2 Project helps those people furthest from the labour market to overcome barriers preventing them from undertaking education or training and entering work.
The project aims to provide a package of easy to access, client centred support including personal development and soft skills enabling the project to identify certain barriers that an individual excluded from the labour market may face. These may include no skills or qualifications, low self esteem, lack of confidence, health issues or family concerns.
The project will support individuals to take the first steps towards training and ultimately employment.
Specifically, the project will target lone parents and other disadvantaged individuals to overcome barriers, either through direct support on the project or by referring to other agencies that work in partnership with Genesis, that offer more specific support.
Entry Criteria
Over 16, living in Torfaen, economically inactive or unemployed.
Participants must have at least two barriers that would prevent them from either undertaking education, training or entering employment.
