Local Housing Market Assessment
Torfaen County Borough Council in partnership with is neighbouring local authorities, Newport City Council and Monmouthshire County Council, have undertaken a housing market assessment. The assessment provides an overview of housing needs, demands, requirements and aspirations for the sub-region.
The assessment includes the analysis of both primary and secondary data that will inform, feed into and underpin the development of many strategies and plans, some of which being the local housing strategy; the community strategy and the local development plan.
The assessment was conducted following guidance developed by the Welsh Assembly Government in the Local Housing Market Assessment Guide|.
