Housing Choices
Welcome to the Housing Choices pages of the Councils website. The information and links on this page sets out the background to and proposals for transferring the housing stock to a newly created Registered Social Landlord. The information contained both on this page and the attached links will be updated on a regular basis as time moves on and as the process develops.
In 2002 a new standard was introduced by the Welsh Assembly Government called the Welsh Housing Quality Standard that all Councils and Registered Social Landlords must meet by 2012. The Welsh Housing Quality Standard aims to ensure that all tenants of Councils or Registered Social Landlords live in homes that meet modern standards and contain up to date fixtures and fittings.
