Homeseeker
The Council no longer owns any council houses, flats or sheltered housing complexes.
If you are looking for social rented accommodation in Torfaen, you need to register with Homeseeker. Homeseeker replaces Homefinder in March 2009.
Homeseeker is a common housing waiting list for applicants who wish to rent properties from Bron Afon|, Melin Homes|, Charter Housing|, Hafod Housing Association| and Linc Cymru|.
Once registered with Homeseeker you will be able to:

Receive weekly advertisements with details of all properties available for rent

View properties online

Apply for properties online, by telephone or using a printed coupon (subject to certain criteria, e.g. number of people in family, age)

Contact us and leave messages on the website
Paper copies of adverts will not be sent to every household, but will be available to those without internet access and in public places.
You can register with Homeseeker by completing a registration form| (available to download here or from any Customer Care Centre).
Our Guidance Notes| will help you complete the registration form (available to download here or from any Customer Care Centre).
On receipt of the registration form, we will issue you with a registration number. Once on the Homeseeker list you can receive (if you wish) a weekly advertisement which lists every property available to rent within the borough at that time.
