Social Care Services

Our Social Care Services provide support in the community for people who need support, care or protection to live both independently and safely.

We offer support to:

  • Children and their families
  • Older people
  • Adults/children with an illness or disability
  • People who need support to care for someone else, i.e. carers

We work with health, education, youth services, voluntary groups, housing services, Gwent Police and others.

We encourage people to be independent where possible, but offer assistance where we agree it is needed.

Torfaen’s social care teams sit within the wider service area called Social Care and Housing Services.

For more information about what we can do to support you, please contact 01495 762200 or email social.services@torfaen.gov.uk
