Personal Care
The Personal Care Team forms part of the Community Care Division of the Social Care and Housing Department. The Team supports service users and carers to achieve greater independence. It aims to provide services that are flexible and responsive to individual needs and other aspects of daily life. The service is appropriate for any child or adult service user or a carer assessed as being in need.
What help can we offer?
A package of care may involve support in one or more of the following areas:

Personal care - such as getting up, washed, dressed and going to bed; assistance with toileting, showering and bathing

Provision of food and assistance with eating and drinking

Promotion of independence

Family support

Monitoring medication

To obtain services you or your family/carer should contact one of the Customer Care Centres| or telephone number 01495 762200.
A Care Manager will first carry out an assessment of your needs to see if we can help you.
The Personal Care Service is available 365 days of the year, from 7.00am to 11pm.
