Meals on Wheels
Meals on wheels are freshly cooked tasty meals consisting of a hot main course and a hot or cold sweet.
Each course is delivered in an aluminium foil container and may be eaten directly from it or if you prefer transferred on to one of your own plates.
In addition to receiving a hot and nourishing meal, you may gain peace of mind by receiving a regular visit from a friendly face.
You may be eligible for a meal provided that you live in the borough of Torfaen and:

You live in your own home and are unable to obtain at least one cooked meal each day by any other means;

You are unable to prepare your own meals due to disability or illness;

Carer no longer able to prepare a meal;

Provide cover to enable carer to have a break;

You are recovering from an operation or illness and require temporary help;

You do not meet the above criteria, but under certain circumstances would benefit from the service.
Your eligibility is determined by Torfaen County Borough Council Social Care & Housing Department who will assess your needs.
