The Food, Health and Safety Enforcement Team enforces infectious disease and other public health legislation. They investigate around 200 food poisoning notifications each year.
Carbon Monoxide|
Carbon monoxide is odourless, colourless and tasteless, which makes it difficult to detect. However its effects are deadly. On average, 50 people a year are killed by carbon monoxide poisoning due to faulty heating appliances.
Sun Safety|
Most of us love sunshine - it lifts our spirits and makes us feel good, but the well-publicised risks of unprotected over-exposure to the sun's UV rays cannot be ignored.
