Refuse Collection

During September 2010 there will be changes to some residents’ waste collection days. All residents affected should receive a letter informing them of the changes later this month. The web pages will be updated to reflect the changes to the collection days week commencing 30 August.

Torfaen households receiving the Twin Bin recycling scheme have their black wheelie bin collected one week followed by their green wheelie bin the next. The green wheelie bin is for garden waste and kitchen food scraps which are sent to be made into compost. For more information visit the Twin Bin Recycling Scheme| area of this website.

For areas not yet receiving this service, we provide a weekly refuse collection for household waste placed in the wheelie bin.
