We provide a wide range of services free to the service user, but there are a few activities that we carry out for which a fee is charged.
We have recently reviewed our fees to make sure that they cover our costs but are still fair to service users. As part of this process, we have expanded our fee structure so that we can charge less for licence renewals for example.
As well as the actual work of carrying out any inspection and issuing licences etc, our fees also cover a nominal sum to cover the administration of the function generally and for any enforcement needed. However, it is not anticipated that we will recover our full costs of service delivery via fees, as we are a small authority with just a few people paying these fees.
