We are usually out of the office doing inspections, but there will always be someone you can speak to between 8.30 – 10.00am, 12.00 – 2.00pm and 4.00pm – 5.00pm Monday – Friday (4.30pm on Friday). Messages for officers can be left at any time between 8.30am and 5.00pm (4.30 on Friday), and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Where you request a service from us, we will try and deal with it as quickly as possible. At really busy times, however, it may take us up to 5 working days to respond – although we will always deal with urgent issues (such as major accidents or an illegal eviction) within 1 day.
You can make an appointment to see a specific officer, and we can visit you at home or work if that is more convenient. We do not only work normal office hours – we can visit you in the evening or at weekends if appropriate (for example to hear a noise nuisance that only happens late at night).
In addition to the above, we operate an Out of Hours Service| to deal with emergencies, such as major accidents, food poisoning outbreaks, chemical incidents etc. This service operates whenever the main office is closed, and can be contacted via our Central Control centre by telephoning 01495 762200.
