Animal Welfare Act 2006| 

The new Animal Welfare Act imposes a broader duty of care on anyone responsible for an animal to look after an animal's welfare as well as ensure that it does not suffer.

Dog Fouling|

As of 1 June 2002 it is an offence for dog owners not to clean-up after their dogs within the County Borough of Torfaen. Anyone found contravening the Act can be issued with a fixed penalty notice of £75.00.

Pest Control|

Torfaen County Borough Council offers a free service for householders to treat public health pests including rats, mice, bed bugs and cockroaches.

Stray Animals|

Torfaen Council collects stray animals such as sheep, cattle, horses, goats and pigs from the highway or other public places, and takes them to the animal pound, where they can be cared for until they are reclaimed or re-homed.
