Vocational Areas of Study

Torfaen Training offers the following vocational areas of study and has over 30 occupationally competent Training Officers who deliver all elements of the NVQ Framework.

 

A NVQ Level 1 Framework consists of the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) and also Key Skill qualifications which are the day to day skills which help to improve learning and performance in general.

 

The Full NVQ Framework at Level 2 and 3 includes a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) at Level 2 or 3 and a special qualification for your chosen industry called a Technical Certificate. The Technical Certificate is designed to substantiate your underpinning knowledge of the career you are working in. You will also gain Key Skill qualifications which are the day to day skills which help to improve learning and performance. Key Skills are transferable from one kind of job to another and cover essential skills like Communication, Application of Number and Working with Others.

 

By completing a Full Framework qualification you will gain a respected, nationally recognised qualification that not only demonstrates your industry knowledge but also proves your practical ability to do a range of tasks and skills.
