Micaul Solar Winner of National Training Awards 2010
Micaul Solar LTD has been awarded with the UK and Welsh National Training Award for their dedication and commitment to learning.
Micaul offer Apprenticeship opportunities for young people who have left school without any or many qualifications. Micaul recruited their first apprentice in 2007 through Torfaen Training, who is now working towards a Modern Apprenticeship in Plumbing and is a Team leader at Micaul.
In 2008 Micaul recruited 5 plumbing apprentices 1 of these is studying a Modern Apprenticeship in Plumbing and is a Site Manager; they gave this learning opportunity to a youth that had been let go by his previous employer. The other 4 are working towards a Foundation Modern Apprenticeship in Plumbing and are Renewable Plumbers.
In 2009 4 further apprentices in Plumbing, Carpentry and Business Administration were recruited.
So far in 2010 Micaul are providing learning opportunities for 4 Skill Build Plumbers and 1 Skill Build Administrator.
