Governing Bodies have a statutory responsibility to have a complaints policy.
Three Stage approach to complaint:
Stage 1 – Complaint resolved by first recipient in the school (eg class teacher, head of year, head teacher)
Stage 2 – Complaint referred to Head teacher in writing (or Chair of governors if complaint about Head teacher)
Stage 3 – Consideration by Complaints Committee
