Out of School Clubs
Out of School Clubs exist to ease the childcare problems experienced by many parents due to work, training or other commitments. They aim to be affordable and accessible. They incorporate enjoyable, creative play opportunities with high quality care for children aged 3 - 14 years.
Good quality out of school provision helps:

To give children valuable play and leisure experiences and to reduce the dangers they may face without adequate care

To give parents the chance to take up the training or education opportunities they want or in order to get a job

Out of school clubs run in a variety of venues usually within a primary school or a community hall close by
Out of school clubs provide all or some of the following:

Breakfast or Before School Clubs open for approximately 1 hour before school starts

After School Clubs open approximately 3.15pm - 6.00pm

Holiday Clubs open approximately 9.00am – 6.00pm during school holidays

Wrap-around childcare is available either for the morning or afternoon session to complement a child’s nursery school education
Where appropriate, children are escorted from the school and light snacks are available.
There is a fee payable for this type of childcare.
