Citizenship Ceremonies - Union Jack Flag
Under the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002, all applicants, aged 18 years or over, who are accepted for naturalisation as British Citizens are required to take part in a citizenship ceremony.
 
 
Race Equality Scheme - Joining Hands
The Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2002 imposes a general duty on local councils to promote race equality in all their functions. In accordance with the Act, Torfaen has developed and adopted a Race Equality Scheme.
 
 
Disability Discrimination Act
The Disability Equality Duty is a new way of helping the public sector make a real, positive change to the lives of disabled users and employees, ensuring that they are treated fairly and equally.
