Councillors have to declare any personal interests they may have when discussing or deciding upon council business. Certain circumstances require them to leave the meeting room when that particular item is being discussed. More details on this can be found in the Council’s Constitution|, Appendix 1 – the Councillors Code of Conduct.
A copy of the Members Declarations of Personal Interest| is available to download here. This register provides a record of all personal interests declared by councillors at council meetings since June 2004. For information about declarations before this date, contact the Chief Legal Officer and Monitoring Officer on 01495 766374.
