A Torfaen school pupil has won an iPod Touch and £250 for his school after helping to come up with a slogan for a healthy meals campaign.
Ryan Potter, 11, of St Alban's High School in Pontypool helped come up with the slogan, Gimme 5, Torfaen's school meals - on the way to 5-a-day, which will be seen on bus adverts throughout April.
Ryan said: "I'm so excited that I'm helping to promote school meals in Torfaen - there are always plenty of healthy options in my school and I always try to eat five-a-day."
A Torfaen Council spokesman said: "We are delighted with the slogan because we believe it helps highlight how school meals in Torfaen are better and healthier than ever."
As well as the bus advert, a feature on school meals will appear in April's edition of the Council newspaper Torfaen Talks, a brochure will be sent home to local parents and new web pages will be launched.
It is all part of the Welsh Assembly-funded Appetite for Life project which has seen £200,000 spent on upgrading kitchens at seven comprehensive schools in Torfaen.
The project has also seen the introduction of a healthy meal action plan, aimed at giving schoolchildren a balanced and nutritious diet.
It has also provided better training for kitchen staff.
