Environmental projects in Torfaen will benefit from a £13,000 package of improvements over the next few months.
Around £4,000 of Welsh Assembly cash will be spent on improvements in Pontypool Park.
Work, which will be supported by a band of volunteers, will include clearing out silt and cutting back undergrowth at the Deer Pond, reinstating steps up to the Gorsedd Stone Circle and improving the habitat for Crayfish around Nant-y-Gollen Ponds.
Some £9,000 will also be spent on cleaning up seven sections of the A4042.
This will include a litter pick, removal of fly tipping and a mechanical sweep.
Work, which will be carried out this month and early March, will require a lane closure on Sundays so the central reservation can be cleaned.
Councillor John Cunningham, Executive Member for Operational Services, said: "Spending this money in Pontypool Park shows our continued commitment to making it an even more attractive place to visit.
"We are very proud of the park and are proactively targeting areas for improvement.
"I'm also pleased that the A4042 will benefit from this pot of money."
The projects are just a few which are benefiting from Welsh Assembly Tidy Towns funding worth more than £200,000.
Other projects awarded cash include more than £20,000 for local nature reserves and £50,000 for Communities First projects in Thornhill, Blaenavon, Trevethin and St Cadocs and Penygarn.
Some £6,000 has also been awarded for more litter bins in renowned rubbish hotspots in the County Borough.
