Recycling banks removed

Recycling banks in Llanyravon have been removed.

Banks for cans, plastic bottles, glass bottles and jars, paper, textiles, Tetra Paks and cardboard have been taken away permanently as the space is needed for car parking.

Facilities are available nearby in Ponthir, Sainsbury's car park and Cwmbran Stadium.

A Torfaen Council spokesman said: "Unfortunately, there is no other suitable site nearby to relocate them. Residents can use there black box to recycle paper, tins, cans, aerosols, plastic bottles, glass bottles and jars and textiles. They can also use other recycling bank facilities nearby."

"We apologise for any inconvenience."
