Greenmeadow Community Farm is holding a number of exciting activities to keep the children entertained over this wet summer holiday.
As well as the daily craft sessions, milking demos and photography class, 'Wet Wellies' at the farm, there are also a number of events planned throughout August and September including a Family Fun & wellbeing Day.
Family Fun & wellbeing day is taking place this Saturday, 23 August which includes a family fun walk or run in conjunction with Wellbeing Magazine & Griffithstown Harriers - a 1.5 mile farm trail around paddocks, ponds and woodlands where the Mayor of Torfaen will be there to start the walk. There will also be lots of healthy living stalls to visit throughout the day as well.
There will be a fun packed day for everyone to enjoy on Bank Holiday Monday, 25, including Punch & Judy, Bouncerama and a special focus on pet care: Whether you already have pets or are considering getting some, why not come along to one of our informative pet care sessions? We will have 3 sessions running which will cover topics such as Cleaning Out, Correct Handling, Feeding and General Health & Wellbeing. These sessions are aimed at children aged 6 and above, delivered in a light-hearted manner and they will receive a certificate upon completion.
Booking is essential and children should be accompanied by an adult. The timetable is as follows:
10.30 - Rabbits & Guinea Pigs
12.30 - Ferrets
3pm - Dogs
Sunday, 14th September is also a date for your diary as the farm will be hosting The Greenmeadow Show featuring the 18th Horticultural and Craft show.
