Consultation is essentially about two-way communication. It's about involving people to gain an understanding of their ideas, concerns and opinions. By seeking your views and then acting on the results, the Council can ensure that its services better reflect your needs and aspirations.

Llanfrechfa Grange Development Framework Consultation|

Through a process of public consultation and further analysis, the Llanfrechfa Grange site has been identified by the Gwent NHS Trust as their preferred location for a new Specialist and Critical Care Centre (SCCC).

Torfaen County Borough Council has produced a draft Development Framework which establishes the broad form and structure of how the SCCC and existing major housing proposals are to be delivered at Llanfrechfa Grange and how these proposals are to be made accessible and integrated successfully with the existing community.

The consultation closes on Wednesday 13th August 2008.

Regional Transport Plan Consultation|

Residents in Torfaen are being urged to take part in a consultation aimed at improving public transport in South East Wales.  The ten Councils of South East Wales (Sewta), including Torfaen County Borough Council, have developed a draft regional transport plan which can be viewed at www.sewta.gov.uk|

This plan sets out a vision, objectives, policies and projects to improve the transport system of the region. The plan calls for greater investment in public transport, for walking and cycling to be made a first choice travel option and reducing the need to travel by car.

Residents now have the chance to say whether these policies, priorities and proposals are right by taking part in a consultation exercise.

The consultation closes on Tuesday 30th September 2008.
