Street cleansing is carried out on a fortnightly basis in this ward, the carriageways are mechanically swept once a month and all local shopping centres are cleansed on a daily basis, refuse collection takes place on a Wednesday
There is a recycling area at Llanyrafon Shops for paper and textiles. There is also a recycling area at Llanyrafon Social Club for shoes, textiles and clear, brown and green glass. There is also a recycling area in Ponthir Village for shoes, paper and textiles.
