Street cleansing is carried out on a fortnightly basis in this ward, the carriageways are mechanically swept once a month and all local shopping centres are cleansed on a daily basis, refuse collection takes place on a Monday
There is a recycling area in the Forge Hammer Car Park and the Riflemans Car Park for shoes and brown glass. There is a recycling area in Broad Street Car Park for shoes, mixed glass, paper and textiles
