Street cleansing is carried out on a fortnightly basis in this ward, the carriageways are mechanically swept once a month and all local shopping centres are cleansed on a daily basis. Refuse collection takes place on a Monday.
There is a recycling area in Ty Rosser Gwyn, Varteg for paper and textiles and one in Union Street, Abersychan for glass, paper and textiles
