Torfaen Children & Young People's Partnership

Torfaen Children and Young People's Partnership (TCYPP)  brings Torfaen Children and Young People's Framework Partnershiptogether representatives of all agencies which contribute to the well-being of children, families and young people in Torfaen.

The vision of the Torfaen Children and Young People Partnership is: All Torfaen's children have their rights to survival, development, protection and participation fulfilled. The Partnership is committed to and endorses The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, The Welsh Assembly Government's seven core aims for children and the Welsh Assembly Government's ten entitlements for young people.

The Partnership's Vision Statement

"As a partnership we are working together in the interests of children and young people. As a result they are safe and happy in making choices and achieving their potential.

We are seeking everyone's contribution in creating opportunities that enable them to develop and lead independent and full lives. We are using shared data and resources collaboratively to provide services that meet their needs.

We are achieving this by involving children, young people, parents, employers, professionals and communities to develop a culture of trust and partnership in which we can transform the lives of Torfaen's children and young people".

The Partnership's Aims

  • Children are thriving and ready to learn when they enter school
  • Children and families are healthy
  • Children and young people are safe
  • Children and young people are achieving their potential in education and developing appropriately
  • Children and young people are taking part in sport, music, art and cultural activities
