Spotlight On
Births
You may register a baby as soon as you like but it is a legal requirement that you register within six weeks. This section explains how to register your baby's birth and should answer any questions you may have.
Marriages
You may marry in any Register Office or Approved Premises of your choice in England or Wales. Before you can marry you must give a notice of your intention to marry in the registration district in which you live.
Torfaen Talks
Torfaen Talks is the Council’s free Community Newspaper which is sent to all homes in Torfaen every eight weeks. Here you can view the latest copy of Torfaen Talks and also view past issues.
Youth Offending
Torfaen Council works with the Probation Service, Police, Education Authority, Health Trust and other statutory and voluntary organisations to prevent offending and re-offending by children and young people living in Torfaen.
