Emergency Management Team

The Torfaen Emergency Management Team is part of the Deputy Chief Executives Department and is based at the Civic Centre, Pontypool.

 

The team is made up of three specifically trained individuals and consists of the Head of Corporate Risk & Emergency Management, the Emergency Management Officer and the Emergency Management Assistant. The team reports to the Deputy Chief Executive & the Executive Member, Resources.

 

The team are members of various professional organisations that include, Emergency Planning Society| (EPS), Business Continuity Institute| (BCI), and the Association of Local Authority Risk Managers| (ALARM).

The Torfaen Emergency Management team works closely with other local authorities, emergency services, utility companies and voluntary organisations to ensure the provision of effective and efficient arrangements are in place to protect communities and the environment.
